Not worth that 10 hp power increase IMO. The new ECU reflash feels like you have more power for free.

The injen seems like a better deal for $230 (free shipping in CA) but I cant seem find any horsepowers gains yet. Yo phreakedout, any gains to your knowledge other than a nice growl? :D

Okay, I'm still kinda confused about this whole "chip" and "tuned" thing... What, exactly, is the whole thing about this thing not bringing any power to the table "untuned", and offering around 10hp avg "tuned"? And the mentioning of the "chip" it comes with... does it come with a "chip", and if so, what for?

Supposedly, the Injen intake also offers around a 10hp avg gain as well... what would the benefit of going for an intake over twice the cost (besides better build quality and looks, it's under my hood so that ain't gonna matter).

The cost difference is not really an issue if it's truly worth it... I'm just trying to make sure that I do make the right choice.

Also, regarding the ECU flash feeling like you have more power... Judging by how inefficient our tranny used to be, I'd say we do realistically have more power at the wheels than we did before (our flywheel power of "220-225" obviously hasn't changed, but there is a whole lot less interfering with that power getting to the wheels now). Free power rocks :-)

All your answers will be here early Saturday. I'm working on the full review and comparison so you guys can make your decisions. The "customizer" part of the kit was discussed many pages back so I'm not surprised that the price shocked some of you. You're really deciding on two very different products here. I've got a few more hours of PS and video chopping to do before I can post a full analysis of the products.

Down2thec,
Did you get your ECU reflashed yet by Toyota per the TSB? I'm interested to see a before and after dyno.

Nope. Not going to until I get some timeslips comparing stock to cp-e. Don't want to mess with the testing grounds. Then if I'll prolly go back up and run with the new flash if it's fun. (never done it before.) Also I have a relatively cheap dyno nearby. I may look into that when it's time to flash. They have deals some weekends. Mind you, it shouldn't affect dyno at all. TC isn't changing, stall speed is the same. Won't effect HP either. Should be just the 0-60 time with the better shifting. Right?
