Hay guys,

According to the maintenance schedule I needed to have my first oil change at 5000K. I changed mine at 3000K, but my light turned on when when it hit 5000K. Just wondering if its normal that the light came on. Anyone know how to turn it off?

i just have the dealer turn it off... its a reminder light on all new models ( my 04 4runner does it too ) it will come on ever 5000 for the life of the car

Follow these steps to reset the maintenance light:

1. Make sure the odometer is on the main setting, not one of the trip odometers.
2. Turn the car off. Leave the key in the ignition.
3. Press and hold down the odometer reset button.
4. Continue holding the reset button while turning the ignition to either ON or ACC (don't remember which).
5. You will see activity in the odometer setting. Usually complete after 10 seconds.

You're good for another 5k miles!
