19" Rim Tire Fitment
Hi,
This is a repost from Toyota Nation and though I'd ask here as well.
I just bought a used set of 19"x8.5" RH C5 rims and was wondering what tire size would fit best. It has a +38 offset and am planning to use spacers (Not sure what size yet). I have JIC Magic FLT-A2 coilovers in my 2000 Solara.
Which tire size should I get?
235/35/19
245/30/19
245/35/19
Here are my thoughts on these sizes.
The 235/35/19 would probably work best since the actual thread is thinner than the rim's width and the sidewalls stretched inward. Less likely to rub.
The 245/30/19 would cover the width of the rim better with thinner sidewalls. No stretching required and would probably give the same over all hight as the stretched 235/35. Will probably need to roll fenders.
The 245/35/19 Largest of the 3 specs - almost 1 inch taller than a 245/30/19. Might just be too big.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
