Getting clutch replaced, does this sound right?
I just talked to my mechanic who was a former Toyota tech and this is what I was quoted.
OEM Clutch and all Parts - $229.30
Rear Main Seal - $27 (He said that since the tranny would be out, it would be a good idea to go ahead and replace this, does that sound right?)
Labor - $450
Total: $733.38
Does this sound about right for parts and labor? Is there another brand I could go with for less price and equal reliability, or equal price and greater performance? My engine is basically stock so I don't need the extra grip. Also is the rear seal something that people do get replaced at the same time?
I was thinking of getting my alternator upgraded at the same time and he asked for $60 in labor, does that sound good?
Thanks
