Sorry for the new-B question (first yoda I've owned) but when changing my spark plugs on the v6 3.3 is there any gaskets I'm going to need to change/ ruin when I start pulling the intake off to reach the rear plugs?
and YES I did try the search/stickys and NO I didn't find any answers.

im pretty sure they make a tool for changing the plugs so you dont have to take off the intake manifold but if you do i reccomend also changing the valve cover gaskets while you have it off. you will need a new gasket for the intake manifold

I'm not sure anyone here with a Gen2 has enough miles to be concerned about changing the plugs. Don't they last 100k miles?

Well with my 1mz-fe 3.0, (same block layout as your 3mz-fe 3.3) the best way i found was to insert a small extension with the socket on it, then once its seated on the plug, insert the longer extension then connect rechet and your good to go. Simply reverse the process for spark plug insertion.

Thats exactly how i did it coz its a little tight to reach. I doubt that theres a big difference between the location
They sell the extensions as a set of three, at autozone or oreillys in addition to the plug socket. If you don't feel like buying you could rent them from autozone for free.

Ok well took me about an hour and a half to do it but I did finnaly get the new plugs in. I DID have to take off the idle air control valve assemby and the pcv/crank case breather hose inorder to reach them. PS when you go to pull the wiring harness off of the coil DO NOT use the "push button" I snaped one off and it never worked as designed. Had to pry them up with a pick/screwdriver. for future refrence the driver and passenger side coils did not have to be disconnected from the wiring harnes (just wedged out of the way) BUT the one in the middle did inorder to remove it from the plug hole. The origional were denso went with NGK laser iridium and man were the old ones nasty! (Probly all that damn ethonal in the gas now) I'll try to post some pics in a few days.

Could you post a pic showing the old plugs? I'd love love to see what they look like with those miles. My '04 3.3l has 66,000 miles so your picture(s) would be very helpful for me to figure out when to change my plugs.

True they don't need to be changed till 100k But I purchased the car used with 82000 on it and wasn't sure what kind of care the engine had till I got it.
By the way what photo host site does everyone prefer? photo bucket?
