So if u want to replace the PCV valve, on a s\ced solara, do u HAVE to take off the s\c? or is there a trick to take it out?

do u just wiggle it out or does it twist off?

looks like theres a rubber seal right under the pcv valve, theres gunk over it, im pretty sure some will fall in, so i better clean it off.


i think when i try to lift on it, itll touch the s\c, but yea. Thanx greg.

Just pops out. It is not threaded. It's tough but can be done. There is a clamp on the hose at the PCV also. It takes some work to free the clamp but, you can do it..

If you wanna be picky, its usually known as bent-nose needle-nose pliers or bent-end needle-nose pliers. Angled pliers usually refers to diagonal cutting pliers that have an angle on one side for easier cutting, but are actually straight-nosed.

wow, what a bitch to remove, the hardest part was getting the faster/ring back around the hose to clamp the two together...its still not on correctly, i gotta go buy a slightly bigger ring.


my old one, barely rattles, the new one rattles freely.


the old one, u gotta actually try to get it to rattle.
