I think I will embark on making my own three-piece stencil kit... first piece is the S and part of the o, the second piece is part of the o the l and part of the a, and the last piece is part of the a the r and the a.
Now, since I'm at work and don't have my car in front of me, can someone please let me know how much space I have to work with? I'm guessing I can fit a 3" (lengthwise) Solara on the caliper, can I go longer? I would like to keep the logo straight if possible while maximing the space. Thanks for any help. I guess I can wait til I get off of work, but I want to do it right now! :D

Heh, not quite... I might have found a guy on ebay that can do the decals. He's offering to sell me a pair of Solara decals for $15... just waiting for answers about fitment and font questions...

I really didn't do any tutorial on it. But we could use one. Here is the post.

no, its not hard to do it.my bf did mine and it came out PERFECT.I had it done on my civic also, and it def. looks real nice.ofcourse it adds some color to ur ride.I read in a old post someone wrote to let the paint sit for 24 hrs. No you dont have to do that.Ive been getting my calipers painted for years and was able to drive it an hour after it was done.no paint drips or splatters or anything.I def. recommend it :)

Mike,

I would soend the money and get the G2 paint. I used that on my rear and front calipars.. i also sprayed some on the hub of my rotor since the rust was starting to show pretty bad. It did the job and Love it..

If I could go back and do it again, I would spend more time cleaning. There are some sections that paint would not adhear to. A Dremel with a wire brush would do the trick.

This is a very easy mod to do. Drying time: It's up to you. Mine dried enough to touch in about a half hour. (I laid it on thick though.)
