Yet another TRD4Life/GLP complaint...

Postby Tatsuo8088 » Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:24 pm

So this is my first post on this forum, and I really didn’t want it to start with a complaint about a seller, but I’m almost at wits end about this. I’ll keep this short because the tale is pretty long. Basically on January 20th 2012 I ordered and paid for a front poly mount from Gabe in which he told me there would be a 3 week wait time. August 28 2012, after Gabe kept telling me that it was going to be ready soon and shipped he tells me that he can’t make my mount because he can’t guarantee a fit due to many variations. So at this point I’m thinking to myself, that he’s telling me that he didn’t even make my mount. To add on to the bomb shell he just dropped on me, he tells me that he’s having paypal issues now and can’t issue a refund right away. Also stating that he is working on it and if he can’t get it fixed in the next couple days he was going to send a money order. Between then and today, he keeps telling me that the account is getting fixed but only after I get on his case.

So Gabe if you see this, I would love better communication between you and I, as I have asked many, many times. I would also like to see this resolved, this has been drawn out far too long.

Matt? Just sent you a PM on facebook. Sorry about the hassle with the front mount, That was a project I never should have undertaken . Had I know the gen 4 camry and solara had so many variations of that front mount I never would have attempted to release these custom mounts to the public. I will talk to you soon, if you need to contact us 207two2nin 8six66

So where is my motor mount refund Gabe? Send me a money order or get your paypal fixed. You're probably the shadiest person I've ever done "business" with. And I'm not going to stop. I wonder how much a plane ticket to Saco, Maine is?

Very familiar! I think I've put it to good use. And I was finally able to find the lip spoiler to complete the kit. I'm loving my car right now, it's finally getting to the point that I always wanted it to get to, I just need a few more interior upgrades. I found a solara at the local junk yard with factory toyota heated seats (which I didn't even think were an option on our cars) which I'm in the process of installing in the camry. Aaaand I found a convertible solara in the same yard and was able to get Brian (Mr. Krispy) his convertible side-skirts. That vert solara was one hell of a lucky find. I literally dropped my tool bag and just stood there staring at it in disbelief when I saw it.

Hey Greg, I've got the 1mz with 5-speed manual, the car came stock with the 1mz 5spd combo. Fully loaded too. I've almost brought it up to XLE specs, except for the power passenger seat. As far as mods go; there's a bunch so I'll just list them out...

ENGINE/TRANS
-Exedy clutch
-Fidanza flywheel
- Injen short ram w/ cold air extension
- Super pro poly dog bone bushings
- TRD quick shifter
- Upgraded trans linkage/shifter bushings
- OBX headers/y-pipe ( still running the supplied test pipe instead of a high flow cat, check engine light is on because I can't figure out which wires to run the o2 simulator to) I've gone through wiring diagram after wiring diagram and still I'm lost...
- Stock mid-pipe
- JDM 5zigen fire-ball axle-back muffler (originally made for the windom/es300) the one off of ONETOHATE's car

CHASSIS/SUSPENSION/BRAKES
- BC BR-TYPE COILOVERS (Specs: 10kg (f) with 8kg(r) AND Dampeners were re-valved in house to match the stiffer spring rates)
-TRD front strut tower bar
-TRD rear sway bar w/poly bushings (always on "track" setting)
-NEA front control arms with super pro poly bushings
-Front control arms powder-coated pink
-Energy suspension urethane front sway bar bushings
-Super pro polyurethane steering rack bushings
-Home-made torque rod trans mount
-Super pro rear trailing arm bushings
-Rear trailing arms powder-coated pink
-Stock calipers (front and rear) powder-coated pink
-TRD brake pads (front and rear)
-Stainless steel brake lines (front and rear)

INTERIOR
-Almost complete LE to XLE conversion
-Toyota factory heated front seats swapped from an SLE V6 Solara (one of the biggest pain-in-the-ass wiring/installation jobs ever) novices need not apply. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I almost just gave up on completing this swap.
-Toyota factory auto-dimming rear-view mirror swapped from an SLE V6 Solara
- Toyota factory illuminated vanity mirrors and sun visors swapped from an XLE V6 Camry or SLE Solara (can't remember which)
-Alpine head unit w/ipod and USB connections (currently my head unit is not working due to some wiring problem, somewhere in the car. Head unit was tested and works fine, but will not power on when connected to the car's wiring harness. I'm lost on this one and haven't even begun to trouble shoot the problem. And yes, I've checked EVERY SINGLE FUSE IN THE CAR, so I don't know...
-Infinity Kappa front 6.5 and rear 6x9 speakers
-Kenwood amplifier
-Infinity 10" subs x2
-Monster cable and dynamat throughout car
-Leather
-Sunroof
-Power driver's seat
-Thinking about trying to tackle the manual to auto climate control swap, but from what I've read it sounds like more trouble than it's worth
-Recaro baby seat for my 2yo daughter

WHEELS/EXTERIOR
- 17" 5x114/4x114 STAGGERED 3 PIECE WORK "STICH" WHEELS
-Rears: 17x9 +15 (Tires for these are 215/45-17 SS595)
-Front: 17x8.5 +18 (Tires for these are 205/45-17 SS595)
-Center caps are COMPLETE.
-Center plates are COMPLETE.
-Rivets are COMPLETE.
-Windows are white.
-Face is Chrome.
-Lips are Polished.
-TRD Lip kit w/ lip spoiler
-Custom grille
-Carbon fiber hood
-Rolled/pulled rear fenders
-Rolled front fenders
-Window visors
-Sunroof visor
-20% tint all around
-And finally, one of my favorite parts of the car; the "4DSC" four door sports car sticker from a Nissan Maxima
-Random other horsepower-adding stickers
So that pretty much sums it up. If I remember anything else that I forgot to list, I'll add it later.
-Mike

Haha yeah, I've done quite a bit to the car. I love it though and really enjoy having a modified camry. I always get so many questions about it, most people can't believe it's a camry. It's nice to drive something different than everyone else. Also, have you heard of anyone successfully completing the swap from manual to auto climate control?

So this has gone to another level of insanity. Gabe refuses to answer/return calls, emails, FB messages, and even deleted a post on his site asking him to return my call.
