Throttle body spacer ~$70, Injectors ~$250, boost gauge ~$70...brings the cost of the SC down to $2600. Thats not a bad price at all. You have to look at the other parts he's throwing in first, he's probably only $200 over the market.

These prices would be accurate 5 years ago.

alright if you're the informed expert, then prove it. so maybe the VDO gauge can be had for cheap, but the others? just because they're prices that YOU arent willing to pay doesnt mean they arent fair prices. gotta pay to play with forced induction. PLUS, he's probably prepared for the lowballers with a little wiggle room. Seeing some of the offers on here, i cant blame him.

I always love the comments from guys that are barely modded and have no idea how much a boosted solara costs to build, maintain, tune. Part of the reason many have fallen off the solaraguy map, the new guys have a totally different appreciation for R&D than the old solaraguys and think they should get everything for nothing. It doesnt work that way.

Just dyno time alone, for 1 of my sessions, cost more than these injectors. I have over $800 invested in DYNO time alone, and I'm only at 5.5psi. Not to mention blowing my oem knock sensors on the first dyno run...Include that (+ labor) and I'm well over $1200 in dyno time (again, with only 5.5psi).

Sorry to the OP, some guys want everything for nothing.

Thanks for the feedback guys, especially hskrsolara, I appreciate your posts.
I have enough time to wait for the right buyer, for any of you who interested feel free to send me an offer through pm.
By the way I haven't mentioned it, but I'm also including printed instructions (24 pages) on how to install this supercharger.

Lolz you real? Why you being so sensitive and paranoid? So you spent 1200$ on mods, that good for you. You spend your money as you want, but there's other people with different budgets and different goals, hence different priorities that go to potential lower offer. I didn't lowball anybody and I ain't even interested in the S/C. You made an inaccurate comment and I corrected you because I've seen way lower prices that what you've listed. You wanted proof?

330cc injectors for 140$ shipped:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50667

Throttle body spacer, 50$. Another one for 60$
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=36387&hilit=throttle+body+spacer
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50679&p=593970&hilit=throttle+body+spacer#p593970

I've seen boost gauges for 50-60$ but I can't find the threads right now. You get the idea. And who wanted to get anything for nothing? And why the sellers can overprice what they're selling but when there's a 'lowball' everyone flames him? I mean, I ain't defending lowballers but if you are the seller, you would rather have lowball offers than no offers at all. Maybe these "new" SG's are younger, in college, on a budget? You don't want to take their offers, fine, but from what I see, Solara owners are way younger than it used to be. Most offers would be lower than what you expect. When the equilibrium price is lower, you won't sell your stuff at the price they're worth years ago.

Sorry to the OP, some people need to get real.

^^and I would say that you're spot on, queen. Like I said, he probably left a little wiggle room for negotiation and for a s/c in good condition, it seems to be in the ballpark. Plus, i dont know what extra shipping/customs costs are involved with a canadian/us sale...probably something there too.

To the mig guy, if youre on a budget and the product is priced out of your range...dont dirty up his sales listing with cheap shots, ESPECIALLY if you have no interest in buying. I shouldnt have posted at all, seeing that I already own all these products, but the guy deserved some back up and all I was doing was separating out what some of the individual costs may look like. If you arent actually in the running to buy his stuff, why are you trying to tell him what its worth? Do you own any of the parts that he is selling? Doesnt look like it, so your input isn't needed.

My reference to the dyno costs was just reinforcing that you can't be a cheap ass + have a fast solara. $1200 wouldnt even touch the total I have spent modding my car. I did it the right way, like most of us, and to do that you can't expect to get it all for nothing.

he couldn't of said it better, i agree 100% with everything said, what you guys also dont realize is shipping is all combined so realistically buying the injectors, tb spacer, and boost gauge let's say will be 10-15shipping each, well theres 30-40 dollars saved, which is pretty much the "savings" mig listed, i also agree with what u said earlier, so many people on the board don't care anymore about the r/d and custom work and money involved.. modding these cars aren't cheap, which is why i'm broke as screw, but still have a setup NO ONE else in the world has (i'm 99% sure no1 else is running what i am lol, its not the fastest, but it's the rarest) people like hskr, queen, gabe, greg, and me are the people who make the path for everyone else, that price is DEAD on considering someone will go "will you take 2600cash for everything?" "sure", if you guys think modding a solara is expensive, take a look at a g35, is350, or ls400.. mik, i think ur price is just right for a good complete kit, it's worth it and someone that's not broke will get it.
are avalons supposed to be this fast?
