start researching now....by the time you can find a TRD s/c, you should have all the answers you need.
speaking from a practical point of view: do the tranny swap first. the parts will be more forthcoming, and you don't have to worry about building up internals yet. by the time you get around to having the tranny done, you should probably have found a s/c by then.
and while you're getting the tranny done, you can find all the other parts needed for a s/c: fuel system stuff, a/f tuner, engine internals, etc.
btw, what background do you have with forced induction? were you driving another s/c car before the solara? are you planning on doing the s/c install and tuning yourself? do you have friends or something that work in a shop?
if this is your first foray into f/i, then you should probably worry about finding the s/c first. secondly, you should worry about making sure the s/c is in good usable condition (since they're discontinued), and third, make sure you're not going to blow up your engine when you install it (i.e. run the stock 5.5 pulley at first, because the stock internals can handle that). after these three things have been accomplished, THEN start considering upping the boost, and building up the engine internals.
btw, i doubt the auto slushbox could handle 10psi, so if you were to do the s/c first, you'd be doing the tranny alongside it anyway.
