i didn't know that's where he got the after cooler in. Ive also wanted to do a mustang tb like gabe tried a while ago. That plus the "super" sc should bring temps down quite a bit.

Greg had the people who work on the roots s/c to cut it in half and install an aftercooler like they did with the hyundai tiburon s/c. its more like a heat exchanger but hey, it works.

boring it out also relieves stress so you get more area under the curve as they say

"boring the internals of the supercharger"

Not familiar - where exactly is metal removed?

its more like port matching to an enlarged TB and port matching (+enlarging) the lower intake manifold to the s/c (which the same thing is done)

PaladinGreg and EricSol did the same to their s/c's a long time ago. They had pics in their cardomain. Dunno if they still exist

I was afraid you were going to say that :D

If anything, the compressor discharge area is too big, and much money (and cases) have been destroyed attempting to "improve efficiency".
There are some changes to the exit side that are helpful, but they're fairly complex (not intuitive at all).
Here's an example of things that work:

and how to do it, but annoying (needs work from inside):

Enlarging the intake side is equally dangerous, since the amount of the actual inner port exposed to the TB duct is a function of rotor timing, very delicate. A straight enlargement of what appears to be the critical surfaces is a mistake.

What does that do?

boring the internals of the supercharger allows for more airflow through the chambers, this mod should be combined with a bored out throttle body for more airflow.

and lower plenum...

M90 intake ports over 20 years
Notice how the floor remained constant, and the last stage moves the port outward only at the upper edges - this exposes more inter-lobe area.

lol im more confused than ever now too. We know that the compressor discharge area is to small because it traps air and warms it up too much thus our "wall" of s/c performance. The other problem with the s/c is that its toosmall for our application once the turbine starts spinning too fast almost all of the efficency is lost.

Don't know if I missed it or not...but just wondering Greg...are you using the 1MZ ECU or the 3MZ?

From what I can find, the 3MZ rods are far better than the 1MZ as well.
