Kay. Just noticed today that my passenger side headlight has quite a bit of condensation in it. Here's a few pics:

Dunno why or when it started, but it's recent for sure. Plus, they're both 9 years old and yellowing anyways. So, if anyone has a set of headlights to sell, I will buy them if the price is reasonable. Stock is preferable, but I will consider aftermarket if I like the way they look.

I just know the bulb is gonna start going out. That's what happened when my dad's truck headlight did the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why don't you try this, before consider buying a new headlight. Save yourself some money $_$

check if the rubber thingy behind the bulb is tightly closed.... i think this is the only place where water can get in.

if not, u can get some new headlights from ebay... but they're almost $100 each.

The yellowing can be completely removed if u follow that tutorial. works great

Thanks for the suggestions. I was so frustrated with it that I didn't think about the rubber thingy in back. I will check it.

As for the yellowing, I used some product I bought at wally world, and it worked good. It's been a while so they just yellowed again. May buy some more if I can get the condensation to go away.

Sigh. The joys of a nearly decade old car.

there is no 100% way to stop the condensation from getting into the headlight assembly... if you take the time to look at it and even go as far as dunking it into a tank of water like I did you will discover some vents that are covered by plastic flaps and has some foam sponges inside them. I think the vents are there to let condensation out but anyways here is my proof.

in the picture above you can see the vents that I am talking about and how i took out the foam sponges that easily got saturated and replaced it with some cotton.

Hmm. That's an interesting suggestion. I will have to try that before we get more rain or humidity. Thanks!!!
