I got Tokico's off of ebay last summer, so they've been on the car around a year. They were $250 i believe.

They started getting softer about 9 months after having them. Right now they're slightly stiffer than stock.

I'm still satisfied because the car is lowered and that was the main goal. I couldn't afford to buy coilovers either.

all you have to do is remove the upper strut mount and install new boots...they are very cheap. Rent a spring compressor from Autozone and your set.

Randy installed the Tokico struts on my TuRD about 80K ago. I'm runing the Eibach/Tokico combo.
I really cannot compare them to OEM since I never driven a solara on OEM struts. Although the car is more stiff than other cars I've driven(Note: Also have the TRD FTB & RSB)
However I installed KYB GR-2's on my eclipse, alittle stiffer than stock.

I have the KYBs. I recommend the Tokicos. The KYBs are bouncy after about 30k w/ a 1.9" drop.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
