I'm running a SC, 4psi, 305cc injectors, 190 walbro, manual, greedy evo 2 catback, jims fuel upgrade, k&n air filter, AFC neo, EBC...

I've noticed two things:
1.
Image
The red circle, that tube isn't hooked up to anything. It is blocked off with a screw in a rubber tube on the metal male connector.
Should that be hooked up to anything. If so, should it be a hard line or a rubber line?

2. When the gas tank is full, I can only push the accelerator down 20%(AFC neo tells me) before she starts to spudder.
When the tank is 1/3 full, I can press the accelerator down 35% before she spudders. Also as the rpm's go up(when accelerating) I can push the accelerator down further untill I have to shift.
I know weight makes a difference but with the 305cc injectors and the 190walbro... is my fuel pressure changing with how full the tank is? If so, what are good brands of FPR's that people have had good luck with?

Thanks for any help,
Jay-ho

1. that line is the tap ur boost gauge uses to read the current vac / boost pressure. Its a silicone hose (thin) and if u dont have a boost gauge then leave it tapped with a stopper.

2. ur FPR is not adjustable in any "true" sense. U could crush it to allow a higher psi but i wouldnt recommend it....cause u dono what its at till u have a read out, and the fpr is in the fuel tank in the fuel pump assembly. Did u get a tune with the new injectors? hopefully u did and didnt go into boost with out a tune with those injectors in yet.

I know nothing about crushed FPR's, so I will have to read about it.

As for the tune, unfortunally not. I've street tuned with the neo as best as I can. I'm arfaid to go further since I don't have a wideband to check the A/F ratio. However she still smells abit rich... Much less rich than before.

Right now, I'm short on cash and will be for afew months. I'm waiting for new CF studys to come up that I qualify for. What really sucks is I cannot donate plasma or sperm to make some extra cash. Otherwise I'de have her dyno tuned...

dont look into the crushed fpr.

also, how the hell are u street tuning with no wideband.

ur best bet is to initiate the neo (which is clearing the settings) and let the ecu take care of the afrs...and dont go into boost or above 3k rpms till u can afford a dyno tune. Why did u install the injectors if u arnt going for a tune?

Installed when I bought it. This car is randys first SC'ed solara, not the one he is selling now.

Went through two other people before I found it. The previous owner(I dunno which) had a Toyota dealership take out the Split Second and flashed the ECU. I found the paperwork in the car...

Eventhough I'm running rich, I'm throwing a lean CEL. I don't remember which exactly but tomorrow I'm gonna goto Advance Auto and have the CEL's read and actually write them down this time(I'm a idoit for not doing it before).
I've cleaned the MAF, changed the PCV valve, new plugs, cleaned the TB, fixed all cracked and unhooked vacum tubes, and looked at the front O2 sensor(one between the block and the radiator).
After writing down the CEL codes... I plan on checking the voltage of the O2 sensor and A/F sensor, hopefully this sunday(tomorrow).

No I understand, I can do more harm than good by street tuning without a wideband and your right.
So tonight before I go out to play rock band(yup, I'm a rock band loser), I'll reset the settings on the neo.

I know you know more than I and I hope this doesn't come out like I'm an ass(not my intention). I just say what is in my head with the car and the upcomming plans I have to fix her.

just reset the neo, and take the car easy, the injectors are bigger than what u used to have and u definitly are running rich rite now but to tune it correctly, u need a dyno tune or a wideband to street tune at bare minimum. I think a tune will relieve u of ur CEL's
