Help with TRD RSB - need new bushings

Postby MrMikeL » Wed Sep 05, 2007 9:10 am

I have a TRD RSB, installed 18 months ago, on my 2004 Solara V6 SLE convertible. The bushings on it are worn and need to be replaced. As best I can tell through phone calls and emails, these cannot be purchased separately from TRD. TRD’s response was to contact Hotchkis Performance. Thinking that they are suppliers to TRD, I called them. They said they don’t make anything for TRD.

I have contacted other suspension component manufacturers with no luck. I have contacted Reggie and he can’t help either. Short of buying a new RSB, any suggestions on where/how to get new bushings for my RSB? Thanks!

I think I posted about this with the same issue if not here it was on TN. Let me tell you I've contacted everyone, including whiteline with no luck. Since having the bushings in a very bad condition it ruined my Links also. I replced the links and put back my OEM slim bar. Its a big sh!t going everyewhere without having anyone to help. What I havent' tried is contacting Toyota Headquarters. I even tried different bushings fro other toyotas but nothing fit. Maybe some sort of company that can create/built a custom bushing will be an option but I don't know of anyone.

Have you checked with Energy Suspension? Take measurements off your TRD Bushings and maybe they will have a match.

Good news! I finally spoke to a real person at TRD, laid out my problem, and he said "no problem, we'll get these sent to you, no charge". I'm like, cool! And I did finally get a package in the mail - from Hotchkis Performance! Too funny! But now I know that you can get parts if you are able to get through to a real person at TRD.

I will have them installed next week. I will also post the Hotchkis Performance information next week too.
