Question about FSTB and RSB

since lowering the car in San Francisco *Tein SS or Springs* doesn't sound too well out here....i was wondering will the TRD FSTB and RSB improve car handling? (i.e. making the chasis more rigid and stable even during cornering) what r your guys takes?

Yes.

PS I'm doing just fine with my lowered car in SF. Albeit, I don't have the sport kit.

i dun have the sport kit also, but its kinda hard for me to imagine lowering on 16's and 215's as ive said in a previous thread sum where....i know rim size doesnt affect height but im kinda hesitant on the tire size....maybe if i move up to 235's it should be fine?

Before you lower your ride - or do anything else IMO, then you need to at least upgrade the RSB! FSTB will help converts mostly.

Use the provided tire calculators to determine correct wheel/tire fitment for your car.

What is causing your hesitancy? I don't see how having a wider tire would influence anything in this discussion... are you talking about ride comfort? Road noise?

If anything, the wider tires will cause more road noise as there's more rubber on the road causing more friction...

I wouldn't worry about being lowered that much. I'm lowered in Buffalo which I'd guess has lots more potholes than SF and I've found you just need to drive around them. Once you get used to where they are its really easy to avoid them.

Definitely do RSB first. I'd recommend FSTB second and then lowering. Thats the order I did and I think thats the order most people would recommend.
