SUPERCHARGER WOES NEED HELP!

Postby solow1605 » Sat Mar 18, 2006 6:16 pm

Ok so i just bought a supercharger from another member on the forum and we were trying to get the kit off, but there's a problem. Theres a bolt going thru the alternator on the passenger side of it that is stripped. On the other side of the alternator is a 19mm bolt. My question is it the same screw going all the way thru thats connected to the 19mm bolt or are they two different things?

That 19mm hex (head) is the nut ( and also as a bushing) for the alternator pivot bolt, though you cannot turn it because it's being blocked by the alternator casing. See attached picture here: http://photobucket.com/albums/d22/SiennaSC98/TRD%20Bolts/?action=view&current=DSC05682.jpg

If I understand what you are describing correctly, the bolt should be one piece. That should be the pivot point for the alternator. I could be wrong though.

haha great, thanks guys. The little piece thats supposed to keep the hex from shifting got grounded off by the shop, who's the reason we're having problems to begin with. So hopefully everything will work out and i'll be boosted by the end of the day. Thanks for the help guys!
