http://www.toyota.com/camrysolara/specs.html
=
3.3-liter DOHC
24-valve VVT-i V6
225 hp @ 5600 rpm
240 lb.-ft. @ 3600 rpm [2]

But I may be wrong for the SPORT.

Anyway, if hp = (rpm X torque) / 5252, which RPM do you base it off of? Doesn't seem too accurate to me.
HP RPM = 255.90 HP
TQ RPM = 164.51 HP

without a dyno graph, its hard to explain

but from the numbers, the peak tq is @ 3600rpm, and then the tq number will drop off a little when you approach red line. and 3600 rpm is not when the peak hp occurs

for the hp number curve, the engine will continue to rev pass the peak hp and the hp number will drop a little.

then you hit red line at fuel cutoff (both hp and tq curve are going down)

applying the equation to the peak hp and tq @ certain rpm will only tell you the relative hp and tq at that particular rpm, it doesn't gives you the whole picture of how the hp and tq curve looks like. (which you can only tell from a dyno graph)

from the equation and the peak hp and tq, we can tell whats the relative hp and tq when the peak tq and hp occurs respectively

Really? I didnt know that...hehe

on a side note: wouldnt it be great if the Solara was a Sports Car.
LOL! :D

Yes indeed it would be!

Heck - I'll still drive mine like it was anyway though.

I blew the doors off a Mercedes 4 series today... some old fart thought he was going to edge me out of the freeway onramp - LOL! He flipped me off in my mirror as I waved "buh-bye" to him though my open top! :)
