try this:

http://www.apexcone.com/JimPowellHomepa ... s/HID.html

Anyway....

If your kit didnt come with a wiring harness, I recommend you get a relay kit, or create one. This way you dont burn out your bulb connector.

but it should go a little something like this:

-------{stock bulb connector
)---- Ballast input
-----(Ballast output
]----HID bulb connector

so a diagram would be like this

--------{)------BALLAST----(]------HID bulb
12VDC Boosting to 20Kv Nice brite lite

A--------------------------------------------->Z

thats the simple way to put it.

lol

hope this helped.

I would google it, or create my own, I attempted this, but my system didnt need the relays.

I could sell you the relays for $30 plus shipping (probably like $4 continental US). I bought them for $45, and didnt get to use them.

But its basic as heck... here's a few links:

Optional Battery Relay Kit

If you are experiencing intermittent problems with one side of your HID
system, the cause may be that not enough stable power is being delivered to
the ballast on that side. This issue occurs mostly in economy vehicles,
vehicles with older batteries, and vehicles running electronic accessories.
Therefore, before making a ballast purchase, you may want to consider
buying an HID Relay Kit to increase the supply of stable power to your
ballasts. The HID Relay Kit features two 20 Amp fuses, the same plug-in
style installation as our HID Conversion Kits, and can be integrated
seamlessly to maintain plug-in style installation with our HID Conversion Kits.

The HID Relay Kit has also been known to help the following problems:
- Headlight Warning illumination on European vehicles
- One light out in cold weather and where trouble is experienced with Auto-on
systems.

Everyone rants and raves on Hidplanet about how you need a relay harness. But it sounds like we are ok with our newer model cars. And I dont have a system or anything drawing more power.

hmm, what to do, what to do.

Dunno, you coulda run into the same issue I had with my fogs... for some reason, the ballasts plugged straight into the harness wouldnt work, but, once i made an extension cable from the harness to the ballast... it worked fine. Has been for over a month.

Only thing I can come up with is low voltage or not enuff cranking amps.

and yes, HID uses less amps than halogens.... but they are very demanding on proper voltage/ground requirement.

Just hook them straight up to the stock headlight plug, then you will know for sure.

ok.. weird

my harness kits (provided with my HID kit) has 2 connectors, one for each bulb connector off the stock bulb harness.

But the relay kits are supposed to allow you to have direct connection from the battery to the ballasts, using the stock harness' 12 volts DC on an inductor, pulling a single stage magnetic switch.

but... your ballasts should work when connected to the stock harness.

I would buy a 9006 bulb connector from autozone ($4), and crimp some small blades on the wires. insert the blades to your headlamp harness, and then plug the 9006 connector to your ballast. If it doesnt light up, reverse the blades. If it lights up... bling bling, you got it working.

If not... I would take the ballsts to get checked. they do go bad at times.

had to explain, but the links I provided made it easy for me to understand... if not... I will see about taking a picture of my setup... as tedious as it would be to remove it, and re do all that work... lol

ok.... i think i got the problem all figured out. it seems like the kit;'s ground wire, which was connected to the relay was not functioning. I took it to an electrical shop and they tested the wires and concluded that the groun wires was not working. Well enough said... hopefully i can get my kit on sometime tomorrow!!! YES!!! and for all you gen 2 out there with HID installed, did you took out the battery or fused before you install the kit (drivers side deadlight)??? cause iam afriad there wont be enough room for thje blub to be insert to the headlight. THANKS AGAIN!!!

It's a tight squeeze, but it's doable without removing anything.
