No because you need spend lot of money and effort to turbo a NA motor (especially it dosent have much aftermarket support)

This is an untrue statement. The 2az-fe 4cyl is getting alot of attention thanks to the scion tC. There are sever5al turbo kits for the tC and most of them will have a solara/camry specific application as well. There are a few now that have expressed interest or have confirmed production of a trubo kit for the 2az-fe solara. UPFD and Dezod Motorsports have both confirmed that they are making a solara specific turbo kit based off existing tC kits. The Dezod kit is around 4,000 and comes with all the bells and whistles. It made 250 whp @ 8.5 psi on pump with a slipping clutch. They have since gotten a new clutch and are going to re-dyno. they are expecting around 265+-. ZPI is still iffy about making a solara specific kit and I dont know anything about UPFD's kit but Dezods it top notch!

Yea, you can turbo the solara 4cyl. As they said it is alot of mula. But the most you can get is about 170whp-200whp depending on mods and engine.
As i think it is not worth it for performance wise, but it would be a great project, and a hybrid solora.

I see these tC's with the turbo kits that lay down huge numbers, like 500hp. I think the block is the same, but are the engines different enough to be different? In other words, will you I4 camry's be able to put down similar numbers?

Yes. The 2az has a forged crank, the cylinder "sleeves" are iron ductile, and the pistons are crap. They handle up to 10 psi...anything over and you risk ring land failure but at 10 psi...you are well over 300. The only difference between the tC kit and the solara kit will be the piping and intercooler

He doesnt even say which engine he has example 5sfe, what model his cars is or what.

Mandarinsolara 265+fwhp ... 8.5psi... stfu

Plus you would have to rebuild the engine to get those #'s. Where is the proof of someone getting 265fwhp in there 4cyl solara??? Without rebuilding, just stock internals????????? So u stfu!
