so most of you know that i had my suspension installed recently...

well i started to notice that whenever i turn or hit bumps or drive on a crappy road, i hear a sort of.... creaking noise coming from the front passenger side suspension. i dont know how to quite describe the sound, but ts a sort of creaking... but then sounds like the wheel well is hitting the suspension in a "bumping" sort of sound.

does anyone know what that is? or how to correct it?
im willing to meet up with someone in or around the IE if you have an idea, or need to hear it for yourself.

im thinking that i need a alignment, but then again. im not too sure.
im sure its not that bad b/c ive been driving it around, and barely noticed it. but it just bothers the heck out of me. geeezzzz,

HELP!

thanks in advanced.

I'll help you out if you need :D

Though I'm guessing something's loose, needs to be lubed, or, in the case of my coilovers, the spring isn't perched correctly on the strut or strut mount.

And you should get an alignment after a drop anyway :P

:P I totaly agree.

Just make sure all the bolt/ nuts are torque’d to factory specs. In this case it might be the Shock tower area. Hopefully you didn't over compress the springs where they might get fatigued. The last time I had the sound was when the sway bar was not lubed properly. That was because of the Urethane bushings that came with the TRD Sway bar. The Fronts were from Whiteline. The other area that might be affected is the grommet (between the strut and strut tower) or sleeve boot that is on the spring that has the function to dampen the rubbing and creaking noise while under load. :)

So Like "ThatVietGuy" says, check the bolts and maybe lube the sway bar bushings. :P

i had something similar and honestly didnt ever find out what it was but took it back to the shop and when they re-did it, the noise "went away". They tell me they never figured it out since all did was remove and re-install but whatever, they probably didnt do it right and didnt want to admit, that's what i'd suggest to you, take it back and have them re-install (unless you did it urself, sorry if i missed that).

um. the problem with that is that my bf and his friend did it. and it was honestly the first toyota they worked on. :/ bad sign. yes i know. but i'll have them check it out and re-lube the strut tower and re-torque the bolts.
