912 bulbs are good reverse lights.
194 bulbs are good license plate lights.
get pure white ones.
superbrightleds.com is the way to go.
for the 912 bulbs go with the 6-WLED one.
194 bulbs for the license place bulb dont matter much.
hope u find what ur lookin for.

Do these bulbs fit perfectly or do I have to do some sort of modifications to make 'em work?

Thanks,

u cant fit a 921 bulb in the license plate light, it's too big.
only 914.

but for the 921, as long as it has the 921 number on there, it can fit. u can use the 914 bulb too for the reverse light (921), but the bulb size (NOT plug)is way too small. not even worth it.

for the license plate light first I had 194 white LED.. it was cool ! But Ive used them to make my white gauges.

then Ive used "hyperwhite" bulb, it's more white than regular bulb but it's not day and night..the difference is there but nobody except me can tell.

Just remember when using LED for either application ( back up/license place) youre going to want to use a bulb that has a multiple angle output. For my license plate light right now i have 10 LED per bulb. 4 rows of 2 on the sides and 2 at the tip to aim straight on. Each of my reverse lights has 15 LED per bulb. same idea. There are 4 rows of 3 and 3 at the tip. It makes for more even light distribution and a better overall look.

Mine was

cheap one with like 3 leds 3mm on each..it s directional but when u put it in the licence plate cas..the light is going everywhere on the plate..I was surprise how great it was.. but it was like $12 for 2..so I used them on my gauges and reuse the poor quality "hyperwhite" bulb for the licence plate.

I bought some LED ones and they weren't as bright because they were facing out instead sideways to reflect. I just went with the hyperwhite bulbs you can pick up pretty much anywhere. Here's a pic from my CarDomain page.

Can any of you guys post more pics of your led upgrade on your reverse or license plate bulbs?
