Summer 2010 update! Pictures inside!

Postby .onetohate » Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:25 am

Hey guys.. summer's around the corner and weather's been crappy as fukc. So i gave my car a quick wash a couple days after putting on coilovers.

I have it on the stiffest setting and I clear about 2 inches when im outside the car.. so im pretty low and its actually a pain to drive.

EDIT!!: My car's headgasket's going, and Im trying to find a shop or person who would be willing to do the engine swap from a 5S to a 2AZ with a 5 SPEED transmission (e351)- any suggestions or directions to get this done would be awesome help. Im down to leave it at a shop for about 4 months either here in norcal or socal, doesn't matter to me as long as I can get people to check on it.

Anyways- on with the whoring and comments much appreciated!

also.. i got a new set of wheels- they're an old school 3 piece work wheels 17x9 +25. I've mounted 215/40-17 Federal 595s and hopefully when summer's on full blast.. i'll mount these on. But for now, these black winter wheels should be just fine.

then after i sell a couple of my older sets of wheels, I'm probably going to pick up a set of Enkei RPF1 in a pair of 17x8 +35 and 17x8.5 +30 to daily on. At least they wouldn't be as aggressive and i can run a proper set of tires opposed to stretching.

Looks good Marco. Try talking to gregtrd, I don't know if he's intimately familiar with the 2AZ, but it's definitely worth trying.

thanks for checkin' it out fellas! - and i'll try to get a hold of greg's phone number- hopefully he can help..

i really want to put in a 2az because there's turbo kits out there that's CARB legal so i don't have to tip toe around town hoping not to get caught.

Chances are ... It wont matter much as when the cop is unsure, he would write you the ticket anyways because he know you can still fight it in court. Remember that not all troopers are well trained and equipped to know what is legal modification and what not. State Refree is the guy you need to convince to that your turbo is legal.

You'll be surprised. You would be pulled over, then they would call a state refree to the location and check your car on the spot. Also, alot of po-pos have training about what is modded, from cam gears to stupid catch can pipes that should not be clear.
