Once I feel better, I'll take some more scenic pictures with nice backgrounds. Future mods are probably tinted taillights and a TRD lip kit.

I welcome all comments and questions, positive or negative (but keep it positive  )

Yup yup, I live down in the SDSU area, and work in the Mission Valley area. So if you see that grey Solara around that area, that's me. In addition, I'll be auto-x'ing again once I feel better, come out some time!

Toy1mzfe wrote:How'd u get ur corners orange? transparent paint? moar pics!

Back to the subject... Cool color man, cant wait to see more pics of the car.

My corners aren't orange. It must be crappy cellphone quality that led you to believe that, haha. Your request has been fulfilled, there are "moar pics", haha.

Various SG people wrote:How much does it cost?

I answered it towards the bottom of page two. If you're doing research and might possibly paint your car, I can tell you exactly how much I paid if you PM me.

Other SG people wrote:Nice color bro!

Thanks guys! What Mr Krispy said was right, the IS300 and Maxima SE are good examples of cars that DO have this color. Unfortunately, the Solara never came with one, until the Gen 2.5 Magnetic Gray Metallic.

The engine bay would've been $100 more. How does that sound? They said the underside of the hood would've been completely painted, and then most of the engine bay, especially the part that are right where the hood closes too (the hood jamb?).

Thanks for the compliments Damon and everyone else. After I read all the review all the neg reviews of MAACO, I had 2nd guesses. But I saw the work they did on my gf's car (some guy hit her and paid for the damages). I thought it was decent and it was really close to OEM. In addition, I also talked with Jake, and he said they were decent too. I opt'ed for the Signature package because it's the closest to OEM and it comes with a 5 year warranty.

I will get more pics when I feel better and can drive myself. (People been driving the car for me :( )

It looks really good. Two thumbs up Maaco. On the other hand, two thumbs down for you for not telling us how much you paid  . Back to your car though. Ive seen the newest Camry with the same color and your Solara looks way nicer. Great choice in color. Get well soon.

Every Maaco is going to be different anyway, just call and get a price if you are so interested. He doesnt have to say what he spent if he doesnt want to :)
