There were a sh*t load of scratches on the hood. The headlights were yellowed and hazed. After a week's worth of work, this is how it looks like without the vandalism:

oh.. and i didn't take the front license plate off on purpose, it was stole on the day of vandalism and i have yet to wait in those freakishly long lines at the DMV for a fresh new set of plates.

UPDATE: On feb, 2009, I have gotten in an accident when a green mustang side swept my car when we were on our way to go snowboarding. here's a few pictures:

good thing all of the damages were cosmetic, so there was no problem fixing it.

after 2 days getting my car back from the shop, there was debris on the freeway and it cracked my passenger side fog light. luckily, i was able to buy one off of mark. but now, my passenger side door molding fell off and i need to find a replacement.

I finally decided to wash my car at 6:44am today. here is a quick picture:

I also installed my headers since i wasnt able to sell it. here's a picture:

later on today, i decided to call up a friend and my first photoshoot. here is some of the photos i have taken. This photoshoot was actually more for him, since my car is basically stock with headers.

For larger sizes, visit:

(all photos are original and have not been retouched with photoshop. took out most of my friend's car to make my post shorter and less boring)

Your engine bay is clean. I want to drive mine into an acid bath or something to get all the crud out.

New England salt!!!!!!

have you ever tried using bug and tar remover? it removes grease too. :] i use a whole two and somewhat spray cans on my body to remove the paint. it works. :]

Just go to a local auto store and pick up a bottle of bug and tar remover. at autozone, they have this special. 2 spray cans for 5.99. It removes paint, bug, tar, and grease. Most likely, the gunk that is stuck on the engine bay is grease.

I wouldn't doubt that it works, I doubt that it'll take me as little time as opposed to driving it through a car wash with my hood open (don't do it!).

My aunt hosed her engine bay down with a garden hose before. With all the components still in it lol. Miraculously nothing shorted. Started it up a few hours later and her visit ended up being longer than expected hehe.

Clean little car, I like it. For now, only thing I would do is shave the emblems, and install first gen solara tail lights. Enjoy! 8)

No love for 1.5 tails!

I guess I'm the only one :(

Image

Don't know why they came out all blue-ish on the reverse lights though...I think my camera was on a weird setting that day.

well, youre not the only one for a while. :] I wont be changing anything with the exterior. If anything, performance first, then looks. I dont want to get caught in a race with looks and no horses. ya know?

Is your car auto or stick shift? I don't think you ever specified.
