Definitely my plan. I have to replace the passenger side rear window first, though. Long story...

tint windows, and get black intereior. .. personally I think it'd look great. but if you want to remain along the 'luxury' line,. dont get the black headlights/corners.

great work! like stated above, the tint will really set it off...I would go with 20%, then throw on some black 18's w/ polished lips (and lower of course) and you are set!

Thanks, everyone. Especially LatinUSMC for your vote of confidence. :D

I REALLY do want a tint, but I have a problem. Look here. During the installation of the new convertible top, I inadvertently gouged the rear passenger side window when moving the bottom support bar to staple the new top onto it. I went to Toyota and they said the window will need to be replaced. The window was factory shaded (it has a very slight tint) and obviously I can't afford that. Also... I dropped a couple of screws in there and couldn't find a way to open it up to retrieve the screws, so how the hell am I gonna install a new window? :/

you remove the rear paneling and you can get to the window and the screws. the window is held on by glue and two clips , if i can remeber one is on the corner, towards the rear
Nvm that ^ our windows are diff , im sure yo ucan get to it be still removing the rear panels

I don't think I'm gonna get a black interior. Too much work, plus I tend to prefer the ivory interior. :)

I actually thought about getting a new set of wheels eventually. However I'm not sure if I should lower it. Let's just say I'm not that great at parking. Well, I'll keep considering it. First I have to find a job - this convertible top replacement was necessary and went straight to my credit card because it had started to rain inside my car, heh. I did save $1400 by doing it myself, however. Total cost of materials was $245, not counting the new electric stapler that my dad bought for me to use.

Any ideas on how to remove the paneling? I've never actually taken a body panel off a car before! :)
