looks really nice. Does the burlwood around the bottom of your shifter keep the leather boot in place or is the leather boot being held down by something else.

The momo boot has bungee around the bottom of it. The bungee just kinda clings to the bottom part of the gear shifter and then when I snapped the plastic piece back over the top it pushed it down and keeps it snug.

The shifter looks good but i'm not a fan of the boot.

I hate how the shifter sits so high though

I've checked mine out and it seems like there is nothing we can do

That's what i've always hated about levoc shifters. Makes your shifter column look like a UPS truck's shifter.

I measured the stock one before I took it off and they are almost the exact same height. Maybe just the look of it gives it the illusion that it is higher.

Yeah it does give the taller look because it is skinnier.

this is how mine looks like, IMO without the boot it looks even taller, David had his sawed short and looked so much better (too bad he sold his camry :cry:

set the seat to a higher off the floor position. that will have the illusion of one reaching farther, thus creating the thought of the lever shorter. hehe

i have a manual, and i was thinking about taking it to a metal shop and have them cut and weld to make it even shorter than it is now. it sounds like a good idea, but maybe someone will disagree

how is that possible? can you really saw off a bit of the shifter to make it look smaller? i got an auto.

I am a little ashamed to admit this, but I used to have a civic. I ordered a short shifter for it but it looked really long. So I took a cut off wheel and cut it down and got a different shift knob. I could shift quicker than hell but you had to use a lot of muscle beings that civics don't like to go into reverse for some reason. So it can be done and still look good. Just be ready to put a little effort into shifting it.
