RSB Installed - big diff in handling!

RSB Installed - big diff in handling!

Postby PXLpainter » Sun May 28, 2006 10:47 am

I finally got my TRD RSB yesterday and installed it (took less than an hour) - had to take off BOTH reinforcement bars on the convertible though - no biggie. Took it out for a test drive - NO MORE TIRE SQUEAL while cornering! YEA!! :D

And I didn't notice much of a difference in ride quality like others have posted. Maybe after I get my 20's installed, but it rides just fine. I can, however, still feel a bit of looseness in the front end - hoping the FSTB will tighten that up just a bit. That'll be next month. ;)

I took it out for a test drive on a few onramps around here - then tried to keep up with a Carrera on the 405 going over 100mph (LOL - no contest!) :D - but it was fun anyway and she felt really stable, even on our crappy freeway surfaces!

Anyway - here's a few pics of the install:

Thanks - it stays pretty clean under there, driving around here in sunny CA! ;)

It's at the firmest setting (inside hole) which I guess is considered "Track" - but it still rides great on the SLE suspension. Maybe if I ever lower it or go with stiffer shocks I may feel the difference in ride.

I de-badged my Tundra when I first got it and started playing with the letters. I easliy could have spelled TRD but what's the use? I had to do something original! ;)

I really miss that truck sometimes though - wish I coulda kept it and gotten my Solara too, but no place to park it here either. :(

Thanks! Well I live in SoCal - not much off-roading here, and definitely no snow/salt to bugger-up the undercarriage. ;)

Plus, this car is only 5 months old...
