So the black powder-coated Injen SRI I ordered from ebay came in today and I wasted no time installing it. It was a very easy install, and just like Phreak and Astro said, the sound clips do no justice to how badass this intake sounds!

looks nice.
I thought the injen comes with the heat shield. since mine is injen pipe with HKS filter, i've never seen one with the heat shield.
just wondering if you gone a picture with the heat shield.

anyways, congrats for your SRI

Tacti, No the intake did not come with a heat shield at all. (check Phreak's DIY on the intake).


j3ff, the intake was $160. It was a steal!

Awesome!!! I love the growl! Do you have a TRD exhaust yet?
You can put a heat shield on, if you want, I've seen universal ones on ebay for real cheap. I don't think they'll help all that much as far as the heat issue goes, but it may keep it cleaner???

No trd exhaust yet, I'm waiting for another deal to come along just like the intake did.

Do you know what type of ebay-heat-shield would fit my intake?
