These are the pictures for this thread...

Just didn't wanna make everyone dig in that thread for them and bog up 56k'ers.

The jist of the damage...

Another angle...

You can see the rear valence pried off between the body and bumper in this one...
Image

Only part of the bumper that actually cracked....
Image

Above the fender well on the chassis, you can see an EVER so slight buckling effect...
Image

The bumper bent in far enough that my tailpipe scraped the concrete barrier...
Image

The width of the gap on the drivers side of the trunk, how it should be...
Image

Slightly pushed off and bigger on the the passenger side from impact...
Image

MY failed cleanup/buffing attempt. I gave up pretty easily...

And a few pics of the car and my nitrous and CPE intake while I'm at it.

Engine bay...
Image

CP-e intake...
Image

Solenoids mounted under strut bar, and lines, jet etc...
Image

WOT switch...

DA BOTTLE!!!
Image

You can see where the line runs in this one...

Chillin, 950PSI like what...

And, my car's new good side...

I know the wiring and crap under the hood is a little haggard right now. I'm getting a TRD strut bar VERY soon, and when I install it I will be remounting the solenoids to the CP-e heatshield, trimming down the fuel line, and tidying up a few other things.

Now I just need my baby fixed. I have the appointment to get the windows tinted finally next week because I finally got the lip kit on, and now the back end is all messed up. It's always something. As you can see though, the damage really isnt' THAT bad. Considering how much my neck and head are hurting today, and that my coin tray not only slid, but FLEW out of it's holder from the impact, I'd say it's not so bad. If you were in the car when it happened you'd swear there was no way this is the only damage caused.

Anyhow, I gota buddy who has a shop, and I'm going to be taking it to him within a few days. Hopefully he can cut me a good deal. I won't let the Solara curse get me down.

The pics look good. My guess is it'll be at least $1,500 to get it all fixed unless your buddy can hook something up for you. Did it do any damage to your smoked tails?

I know how you feel, when I totaled my friends Mustang I only did a 180 and hit a tree but I swear I tore the whole front end off but it wasn't as bad as I thought. At least your air bags didn't deploy.

I know, I did everything I could to keep my front end from hitting. If it was my front end that hit, I'd be considering getting a new car. The airbags would have gone and there'd be a lot of damage under the hood. I got out of the scenario in pretty much the best way possible.

Damage doesn't look that bad. Good thing your fenders didn't take any of the impact except for that small wrinkle in the fender.

Good Luck with the repairs.

I'm really glad you weren't hurt bro... As you've heard many times before, cars can be fixed, people cant...

I hate to deviate from the rest on this situation, but I don't think you're gonna get off with only $1500-$3000 of repairs on that if you want it done right... The buckling of your fender and trunk lid gap may be a sign of frame damage... You definitely had enough of an impact to knock in your rear bumper (not just the plastic bumper, but the real bumper that underlies it)... The fact that your muffler hit may also indicate that it stressed the piping under your car, possibly bending it a bit (depending if it was brushed or truly impacted).

Good luck with everything, keep us posted on how it goes.

Glad you are ok, the damage seems small to the incident described!
