Hey,

I just recently washed, clayed and waxed my car. The pictures at the end are the newest ones. Tell me what you think.

I'm normally not a fan of the two-toned look, but your does look good. From the picture, it looks as if you've done a good cleaning it.

On another note, just how hard is it to remove from your car smashed giant flying terodactyl-appearing things that pass for mere insects in Florida?

Thanks, I'm pissed at myself for not thinking ahead and getting a "one tone" color car, because at the time of buying the car, I didnt think about a body kit, but its something different which I like. So far with owning my car, I have only seen one Solara with the same paint as me. As far as the large bugs go in Florida, their not that bad. I hardly do any highway driving at all, so the big bugs aren't much of a problem for me. Thankfully.

IIRC, a body kit get painted in any case (correct?). Why does having a two tone car preclude you from getting a body kit?

Granted, painting a spoiler would be extra but it should be a fairly small % of the overall cost.

Idk, If I ever think about getting a body kit, it would be wayyyyy down the road. I just recently bought a Injen Intake and my next project is making it cold air. I'm always on here to see if anyone has the 2 tone paint like me with a body kit. I'm really interested to see how it turns out.

I guess I just don't understand the effect two-toned paint has on a body kit. I mean, if paint faded from color into another moving from the front to the back of the car, I can understand the problem in trying to match. As it stands, you're having to match, at worst, two colors.

While I understand a body kit would be a long way down the road for you, I still don't quite what would preclude you from doing so once you're ready.

You'll have excuse me now at it's after nine O'clock which is my bedtime.

Hey since this is a website open for suggestions heres mine -

With the two tone color and the woog grain interior...ur car looks like its more on the luxury end tha the 'sporty look'.

so with tht said i really think mesh wheels like the ones a few DWP lara's have on this site would look AWESOME...

and yea..drop tht shyyyte.

Only a toyota can pull off the two toned look and this solara certainly does so. The wheels come across as a bit to cartoonish...kinda like oversized aftermarket wheels on a civic or sentra. I would love to see a nice two piece multi spoke in cast bronze or charcoal. But what you've got still fits the bill and works just fine.

And I must have a full wood grain kit....and soon! Everytime I see it I get antsy to go get it for mine! So classy! And I love the SLE perforated leather...the interior almost deserves a Lexus badge :P
