The unveiling

I had been waiting for this day for years, pretty much ever since I bought my car almost 3 yrs ago. It wasn't anything planned, at least not for now, but it happened. About 3 weeks ago I happened to find a body shop and asked the guy how much for a paint job, so after I told him what I wanted, he gave me a price and i was like daaaaaaaamn you must be nuts... so I asked other shops around and some even quoted me twice as much as the 1st guy. After some serious thought i said F* it, and called the guy and asked if he could have it done before NOPIs, he said yes and well...

I present to you guys, the new MEXMOBILE, AKA my green monsta! LOL (if you dont know what it used to look like, check out my cardomain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/562643 ).

The works: Black with green/blue pearl on top with a fade to lighter green at the bottom (hard to tell i know... but believe me, pics dont do any justice to it ... enjoy!)

Thank you.

that looks really good, he must be a real nice guy because that paint job looks great and if he was only charging half of what other places were? hell of a good find and very nice paint scheme, im a blue and silver kinda guy, but i respect the idea and it turned out great !

$3K ... that included taking ALL dents/scratches out and some minor body work to make sure the body kit fit. He was having some problems with it because of being the Gen 1.5 kit so he took of the bumper and all. That kit is now part of the body, but he had to use to ribbits (sp?) in some areas because no matter how much glue he used, it wouldnt stay... so he ended up spacing them out nicely so it looks like part of the kit. (once i get my eyelids he'll paint them to match the car too)

That looks hot as hell, I love it. Rivets don't look bad at all, just hope it doesn't rust with the holes in the body now.

I reallly like the fade. Its smooth n sutble, and probably something you cant do with many other colors. Came out really nice, and I havent seen another solara with a fade so far.

3K isnt a bad price at all for a quality paint job, let alone dent removal and a two tone fade, you didnt get a bad deal at all.
