I'm with Blaze; usually I don't like flames or most custom paint jobs, but yours looks tight. I like the subtle colors of silver/gray and white instead of lame bright orange flames or something. Btw, did you paint the entire car, or just paint the flames and lower portion only, and then clearcoat it?

thanks for the positive feedback folks...
we only painted the hood, fenders, and doors...then cleared...still need to color-sand and buff it though....

Cool...
I thought it was going to be a ghost flame.... You know, the ones that's barely noticible, but it's there.... Now you need a body kit and you are good to go..
-19" Konig Tantrum rims.. Sitting in the garage waiting for tires..
-TRD springs.. Sitting in the garage waiting for struts..
-Conrero aluminium foot pedals.. Sitting in the garage due to my laziness.

i was thinking of ghost flames, but i chose house of kolor "platinum" instead... I won't have room for a body kit w/ the hydraulics in later this week...unless it doesnt sit as low as planned, then i might have room... i guess i just don't really believe in body "KITS" .

the rims were a little over 2k, and the hydraulics were about $1100, saving a lot of money since a buddy and i are doing it ourselves

You mean you can actually have hydros on a solara? I drove over to www.totallypolished.com over in agoura CA and asked if they could install hydros/airbags on my ride and their answer was NO. they told me that its hard since the solara has mcphersons and it would not be safe at all even if they did so i burried the idea. I believed them since these guys are like dope. They even produced a 2 door excursion that was featured in the 2k1 sema auto show. If u di it...post pics, detailed on how u did it and the result..def interested in seeing how it works out.

I know the guys down at TP very well, my shop and my buddy's shop deal with them all the time...

because we have mcpherson struts, we have 3 choices for adjustable ride suspension: strutbags, mac air cylinders, and hydraulics...
strutbags are too tall, so you don't sit low at all, mac air cylinders just came out, so they are VERY EXPENSIVE, and i've already had air cylinders on my integra, so, it's gotta be juice...

you can juice anything, you just have to have the right cylinders, the ones that will reverse mount into the strut itself... that's the only way.

we're doing the install tonight...i'll post pics as soon as i get home.

by the way _eyedea, let me know if you need anything, i'm a wholesale distributor for most of these products...

I like the way the rims are, but not up on the flames though. For me certain cars can get away with em and others dont. I just dont see the solara in that way. Maybe when it all said and done it might come together. Second I could never understand that whole hydro. stuff, its a west coast thing for sure, If you had on a latched output of a alarm to totally drop and make it undriveable then Im totally all for it, what ever makes it harder to steal is always worth it. But hey, the flames did come out nice, who ever did it , is very good and clean, just not my cup of tea. good luck with it and i hope it turns out the way you want it to.

i am definately ready to check out the hydro install. I just want it for the rear suspension coz because i got sprint springs, they sit mad low w/o anyone in the car. Would be nice to add onto my brag list too so if this is possible, i wanna see it.
