Russian Guy, nice to see you back, looks good. Haven't seen a post from you in a while. The body shop that did the paint job on my car said that in early model year 99, one of his customers sent a new Solara off to California to make it a TRD version. When it came back, it had 2-toned interior including the seats. Do you know anything about the original 99 TRD Solaras? My understanding was there were 100 made in Southern California to celebrate the introduction of the Solara. Is that the interior scheme they used? -JoeB

i dont think those solaras had any different int/ext paint schemes. it was just labeled which collection model # it was.

i've ridden in 2 "collection solaras" and there is not thing different, but intside had what number production it was. unless you and i are talking about 2 diff things.

Questions, are "collection solaras" different from The toyota pace cars, cus it think the dude over you when he says 'trd version' i'm guessing blisten struts, trd springs, two tone paint, trd exhaust and trd s/c...so me those pace cars (that eventually got a gen 1.5 front end) seem like what he's talking about. But i could be wrong.

Thanks 8) PhD degree takes a lot of time

As i know, TRD Solaras had a grey/black interior (1 tone)
The one he was talking about was custom...

My interior scheme was done to match the exterior color :)
