the car sounds amazing now... i dont really care if its a true cai or not, the thing sounds sweet (and loud as all hell). thanks milt for hookin it up with the exhaust. thanks everybody who participated in the shortshifter group buy. :D

looks even more angled then when it was on his...either way the magnaflow muff def does sound good...and that short shifter looks nice too :wink:

Looks good. Do you think that you're sucking up radiator heat from the filter being so close to it? That's how Injen ran the CAI for the gen2 Solara and found that it was running hotter than the short ram.

yea it definetly is getting some hot air from the fan on one side but on the other side there is a good amount of air coming in from a gap like through the lower grille.. idenno you have to see it in person. but it definetly increased power and sounds 10x better than just the short ram. ask milt, he heard it before i put the exhaust on. i set off a few alarms just with the intake.. now i set off alarms everywhere i go. :wink:

I wonder if using a heat shield would do any good. What kind of filter are you using? I'm using a K&N with the top open for more flow, use should to if your not already. I think it could help even more. Time for a turbo or s/c!! :D

heat sheild sounds like a really good idea! cant believe i didnt think of that.. im using some pos filter i got for free.. im planning to change the filter to a top open style when i do my oil change in a few weeks. no turbo or s/c for me... LoL one word.. probation. :angel:

^^I'm using K&N filter rx4870 (middle filter in pic), along w/Injen heat shield. The filter is a little pricey, but remember they pretty much last forever. I use the TRD filter cleaner when needed.
