New Pics of my HIDS/2tone leather and New NAV

Postby Yanks0114 » Thu Sep 16, 2004 12:11 pm

I haven't had much time lately and the internet at my apartment is terribly slow, but I finally got some more pics online.

http://community.webshots.com/user/yanks0114
My old album is at http://www.sounddomain.com/id/yanks0114

Featured are pics of the Pioneer AVIC-N1, instructrions of how to remove the glove box, Phillips 4300k HIDs (thanks solarat), and my new two tone leather.

I chose taupe and sandstone for the colors with taupe piping. Its a perfect match for the factory interior and it looks great. The driver and passenger also have 8 position massagers with heat built in.

The pictures aren't that great because I took them the day I left for college. Next time I'm home I'll take some better pictures.

Coming Soon:
Pictures of my new custom grill

Yeah the 8 position massagers are built into the seat.
I thought they were going to be a waste of money but they are great!!! Lets just say zone 3 hits the sweet spot (right on the balls) :D

I sold my other navigation to my friend who owns a jetta. I will never again install nav on any VW. That was the hardest job i've ever had to do
I have the Pioneer Nav-SYS900DVD

Thanks for the positive comments

Did you do all that yourself? MADD props. You've skillz. You guys with Gen 1s are lucky, I had to remove the entire bumper to get to the headlights.

Great job! Everything looks so so nice.

The only thing I didn't do myself was the leather. I have a family friend in business so it wasn't cost effective to even try it.

I'm at college now and i don't have my car with me, but next time i'm home i'll take some shots of the HIDs

The HIDs came with shields (they are the xenondepot.com kit) and glare so far hasn't been a problem
