man why me!!!! driving down grand and this minivan two cars in front of me decides to turn left last minute. so this van slams on his brakes, causing the car in front to slam on his brakes and then me slamming on my brakes. i end up sliding into the car in front of me. my bumper hits his trailer hitch.

i didnt get a ticket for failing to stop. the cop was cool he said "you have a very nice car" but while he was filling out the report he didnt know what kind of car it was.

now i might not be able to show at HIN, i may put my car bra on to hide it??

Aw, that sucks dude. Damn minivans. Damn trailer hitch, that thing really impaled you. Bra is probably good for a quick fix. I feel they are quite fugly but it looks like you have little choice.

Time for a 1.5 conversion!

Good luck,

Sorry to hear that man. Bra is a great quick fix, and you'll still be able to show at H.I.N. I'd have it fix as soon as you can. You think it will be fixed before the meet in Schaumburg?

I don't know bout puttin on that bra . . . :o . . . as one who constantly judges every detail of cars . . . I'd say that putting that ugly "rock-protector shield" aka bra would take away a whole lot from the overall appearance of the Solara. It really sucks that the show is creeping up on ya at this time too! :x . Damn. I'd just put some sign that says "Battle Damage" by it and just go with it . . . :drinking:

Bummer, Do you think that you can get another one from a salvage yard that would match your paint or do you think that think that Toyota will be able to get it done really quick? I know when I was attacked by Bambi I had my car back in 3 days with more repaired damage than that. Good luck getting it fixed quick man and good luck at HIN.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

ouch man... stupid minivan drivers. hopefully you can get that fixed quickly. it seems like I hear about a lot of people having bad luck on the forums here. Sorry to hear about it.

i remember at D1 Grand Prix one of the drivers wrecked his S14 and put a funny sticker over part of the damage. I did that with a couple of cuts i have on the front of my bumper from a run in with a guardrail during a touge run.

It aint pretty, but at least its funny.

I know I know, it's a Camry, but they dont make any "I love Touge" stickers.

i might just get a new bumper because of all the nicks and scratches on it. i was looking for salvage yards in the area and can not seem to find one with a solara bumper. i have six days to fix it and its not just worth the time and stress because roll in is this friday. so the car bra will go on to get past the inspectors, and ill take it before the show then ill put chairs in front of it to hide it. it will work
