Lee, a 225 tread, 50 series sidewall would actually read 4.557% Too SLOW (as opposed to the others being too fast, because this tire would be taller overall than OEM). I'm okay with 225/40, but 225/45 might be what you're looking for, since there's more meat on the sidewall, and is actually closer to OEM than a 40-series (1.12% difference in diameter as opposed to 2.34% for my 40 series).

BTW Volks are great, GT7s are great 7-spoke Volks, and I know there are others as well.
