Foose Wheels

Postby PXLpainter » Mon May 15, 2006 8:35 am

Yeah - ya beat me to it! ;)

Here's the Type-S also crappily PS'd in...

Image

I will most likey either go Speedster or Lusso at this point - primarily because of the offset of the Heat and Type-S pusing the wheel face too far out.

As far as the gilles go, I will most likely be having custom grilles made and the VVT-i badges will be history when I get new paint. ;)

Well, out of all the onse you've shown, the Lusso style looks the best out of all the others, but the majority seem to like the speedsters.

Too bad you didn't get a black car...you could get those rims that look like they are floating. Someone here has them on a black car...can't remember who...I searched and searched but can't find who they belong to...you all know who I'm talking about...those are some AWESOME rims :D

But I like the Lusso style better, out of all of the choices you have, if you have to have those rims.

Well Jerry, in all honesty, the Lusso rims were taken from a "real" photo and the others were just distorted photos off Foose's site, so it's kinda hard to really tell...

But yes, it's a toss-up between those and the Speedsters for me right now. Chip Foose has some Speedsters on his F150 I believe, so I might take some photos of his truck and see if I can Photoslop them in to get a better idea at the right angles...

I've pretty much abandoned the thought of the Heat and Type S at this point. Besides, they're made for RWD and the offset isn't going to work from what I've been told.

Thanks again everyone for your opinions! :D

What does Troy Trepanier's Avalon have anything to do with Foose wheels. I'd love to see Troy and Chip go head to head in redesigning a vehicle. Give them an identical vehicle and see what they come up with....emm what a show.

speedster would look pretty good on a porsche. also i do not believe solara is a lip wheel kind of a car.

lusso has nice clean look with no weird patterns or bolts/screws going around. very elegant wheel to match solara "bubble" effect.

i've been searching for the right wheel for 4 months and i was looking for a nice lip too.

one problem with lusso is that you need to upgrade your braking with nicer rotor and caliper. Mine looks like sh*t and also rusty, not good. It is not so obvious to casual observer however once you have it, it's in your brain. I won't calm down until i change rotors with brake calipers.

will get nicer pix of my ride in june.

I just found out that the Speedsters are 3pc wheels and I can have the centers painted black!

So I did a li'l Photosloppin' - I think it will balance a lot better - especially with the black top... but I think I need to go with Silver Calipers now!

Oh, and I think black calipers, not silver.

How much are those?

Hey guys - I finally got my Foose Speedsters! :D

Image

Hehe  NOT!

Just a little better Photoshoppin' this time... sorry to fool ya like that! ;)

I was working around the OverHaulin' gang yesterday and there was a Mercedes in the lot with the Speedsters, so I took a bunch of pics of it and Photoshopped them onto my ride. More natural light than the previous attempt at least. ;)

Wheww

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:22 pm

Thank goodness, I wasn't going to post anything because I thought you actually bought them from looking at the pic, but go chrome. The black rims just don't look good on the convertible. A little bling is ok for your car. Jon.
