hahaha dont worry about these guys they like to joke, they mean well. Though we can see you are not actually boosted, like turbo or supercharged. i could believe the nos though, but from the pics the lines are pretty well hidden, car looks good though! post bigger pics and show us that where wrong! :)

the stock engines whp is about 153, if u use a 100 shot your at about 220-240 whp, theres no way 290+ whp plain & simple......

My cousin use to have a 2005 sti, she sold it to buy a new Porsche! Anyways I drove the sti and they just have so much grip being awd and the turbo'd flat 4 at stock 305 hp there's no way.

As said above we make I think 188 stock at the fly and 153 to the wheels, with your nos maybe you could take a on a wrx with stock 265 but still the grip of awd would kill our fwd setup.

Now to prove us wrong do you have a video!? :)
Still a nice car you go though, the nos job is clean! I like

Thats got to be Frank's girlfriend... right? Solaraqueen?

And to the OP I was only able to beat an STi on the freeway after going 6 PSI, and it was a pretty close race
Albeit he had a turboback exhaust.

So... if you're spraying enough nitrous to beat an STi, AND you're spraying this all the way down the track....then you can't seriously expect your engine to live much longer. I'm surprised it hasn't blown sky high.

All we're sayin is: " You Ain't Gotta Lie Ta Kick It". We know our cars aren't quick and there is no reason to pretend they are.

the only reason i think i beat those stis. is when the nitrous kit comes it sais drill and spray in the intake 8 inches away from the throttle body. i tapped mine right behind the butterfly valve in my throttle body i cut the distance from the nitrous to cylinders by about half and it was spec'd at 100 hp shot from 8 inches from throttle body i got rid of all the restriction of the butter fly valve and egr tube so idk if that is why but when i spray it sets me back in the seat hard. and my motor will last its not a wet shot i did my research before i bought the kit. the 1mz can handle it if i blow it i will tear it down put wiesco pistons, perfect cirlcle rings and high performance gaskets...crank is forged and rods are cast should be fine....the stis were not the 05's so if u want to say they werent true stis u can.
one was a 04 and one was a 03. one by a nose and one by half to quarter of a car im not lying.

not true sti's? even 2000 sti's have a 2.0L flat 4 turbo with 296 hp and 260ft-tq thats still lots and they weighted less then the current sti's. I know because a guy up the street has one! its quick! he has a rare 2 door from 1999. the thing is sick! im not sure about the nos and if it does make a HUGE difference for where you tapped it and all that... but nos is spontaneous combustion and SHOULD put you back in your seat! if its not then its not doing its job lol :P

Just statin' all the facts.
Even wit a 100 shot of laughin' gas you would get close to beatin' an STI, STI = AWD and the Solara is = FWD.
So the STI will win wit the launch, no from a roll is a slight different story.
As for your intake, you can only do so much unless you say you have a "Greddy system" under the dash, which Greddy system do you have??
As for your headers the guy lied to you about it.
Those are Ebay JDM headers.
You got jiped on the headers.

The only type of nitrous you feel kick you into the back of your seat is a wet shot, a dry shot you slowly feel the kick, it is safer to run a dry shot over a wet, but can still kill your motor. I personally wouldnt run nitrous, id rather build the block meth and more boost.
