Saw it in person today. It really did look good. Loved the gold you got going in the head lights and tail lights. Great job!

I did redo on my solara page.
http://web.mac.com/tacti
and updated picture, re-organizing the page etc.

I made this page for kinda testing out the application, and seems iWeb on Mac works pretty good (Ver. 1.1 is having huge issue tho).
however, this page is kind of heavy... so 56k consider yourself warned!

I also added a Guest Book, so please leave some comments either on solara or my page..

Thanks!

Lucky,

They're not exactly clear... there's gold trim in/on them... the consensus here was that it'd only look good on a sand mica car... having said that, yeah, looks like it was only a one-off set of lights... unless you wanna do your own...

Oh, I guess I really couldn't see them that well then. Since I decided to go with a clean look for my car, I thought clear tail lights would be sweet. I was going to go with black 19's because of my black rag top but I've since decided to go with 20's and I don't know how good black 20's would look so I guess I'll go with a clean look. Do you guys think a black rag top would sweet with chrome wheels? (I'm not trying to jack this thread.)

I know... however, when i took the picture, i was not even thinking about putting them together to make it one.
i was taking quite a few pictures from the different angle, and when i was looking for pics to upload, i found those to match (?) together.. ^^

> Lucky, cklinh
Yeah, as cklinh said, it is the only one (that's why it's Limited 8) )
it has gold trim, but under sun, the clear part reflect lights, and hard to see the trim.
btw I think the chrome on black rug-top would look really nice!

>Sap Z
Yeah.. I remember the last Elmhurst. I was total stock when i went there.
(i think i got the most stock award last year, not you!! :drinking: )
the mods are something like a hunger.
once you complete one, you'll be satisfied, but soon, you would like to do more...
I will see you at elmhurst, or whatever meets you may have in chicago area before that!

thanks for the comment guys.

yeah, i was not really planning to get one...
i've been looking around, and always wanted one, but not like a plan.
one day, i found a set on ebay, for pretty good price, and... my stupid finger just clicked "place a bid".....
and next morning, i found that email notice that i won the rim...
:drinking:

anyways, the Elmhurst Show is once a year event in chicago.
it is at Elmhust Toyota. I've been last year, and it was great to meet SG people and see beautiful cars.
i think this year's show is on sunday 8/13th, and i'm planning to come down on saturday if there are any SG meet/dinner on 12th.

How big of a show is it? And do a lot of people show up to it? Is there a huge party at night that goes along with it?

even tho it is not comparable to the shows in CA, but it is the biggest event for midwest toyota. i think...

last year, there were only about 5 or 6 solaras, but a lot of supras, and scions as well.
hopefully there will be more SG members this year.
we might have a mini-meet the day before the show.

if you are interested, probably we can drive up chicago together.
hopefully picking up more people along the way, and have solara convoy into chicago 8)

trust me, this is worse spending a weekend just to be with other SG member and having a great view of beautiful cars!
