Well here are a few Pics of my ride.
As far as the Intake, I made it myself untill AEM comes out with one.
I have planned to do up the Piping for a CAI but still working on it.

What kind of process did you go through to make the intake? Such as parts, piping, fittings, hoses, etc...??

I like that black grill. It reminds me, I wanted to get the black pearl emblems for my black solara, but everybody keeps telling me it will look lame against the black paint.

What do you guys think?

The Process I took to create it just R&D I guess.
I work for Toyota Design in the Milling Dept. so I have access to alot of equipment. The hardest thing (not really hard just time consuming)was the MAS fitting. I designed then milled it out of Alum. then had one of the guys here weld it up. Same with the fittings for the hoses.

Nice job with the custom work. Have you noticed any performance with the new intake? I went with the drop in because I liked the ram-air set up directly into the box to help shield it from heat. I was thinking of installing heat shields within the box so that when driving in hot city traffic, the air coming in can stay as cool as possible. What do you think and how could I go about doing that? Is it as simple as purchasing from a hardware store, cutting and fitting?

I also noticed you needed to remove the rear ground effect to fit the exhaust. What type of exhaust did you go with? What kind of tone does it give off? Could you supply a sound clip if possible? Thanks man and nice job.

Mattyboyl,
I did notice a performance increase and the sound is awsome.
The exhaust I installed is Borla. It bolts on where the old one did.
Its a bit to quite for me. I was thinking of removing a resonator but I dunno. I'll probably just leave it. I did'nt have to remove anything to fit the exhaust. Not sure what you mean about the removal of the Ground effects.
I was thinking of making a sound clip but how do you put it on the board for all to hear it. I have a Digi camera with video and sound. Just how do you post it?

That car looks so damn hot in black especially with that black grille (did you just paint it black?). Excellent job customizing it.

Nice, I love the grill and intake! I'm guessing with not having much room, we'll never see a CAI.

With the stock ram-air setup, I wonder about putting a vent in the hood. That could be a direct ram-air.

I'm Glad that you guys like the car.
In answer to some comments:
I did have the grille painted professionally, I sanded it and our painter here at work painted it the same color code as the car.
As far as CAI I will eventually attempt it when I have time. I think I can make it work. I tried working with Injen the first part of the year on them prototyping it on my car and the guy there said most likely it will only be a short ram. I said that was fine do what ever works. I was all set to give them my car for a week but they left me hanging. (AGAIN!!) I say again because I tried it with the Tundra a few years ago and they did the same thing. We both agreed and said cool lets do it, then No word. I went ahead and built it myself called them to let them know it was a success and then again...no word. Whats even funnier is they still dont have an Intake for the Tundra.....They suck. I basically did all the work for them and they still did not want to do business. Thats why I'm sticking with AEM on all my Intakes.

J-Man,

As far as putting those clips on the board, I have no clue. If you could send me some clips, I would love it. You can send them to mattyboy2@hotmail.com.

Also, I looked closer and noticed the ground effects were still intact. Since you have a black car and the rear muffler swoops down further than stock, it looked as though the rear ground effects were gone.
