Puttin in WORK

Postby KILLA CAM » Fri Jun 04, 2010 11:53 pm

What do you think SG? 17x8 Work VS-Editions +47 all around. I'm running 10mm spacers up front and 20mm spacer in the rear currently. I've got a unique color scheme that is going to look sick on these rims. That update will come next week.

Now for the pics

Interesting. Would've loved to see those Equips you had before, but this'll do. +37/+27 is aight, you could run at least 15mm spacers up front and 25 in back (effective offset +32 F/+22 R) and still have good clearance while flushing up the fenderwells.

I was in love with the Equips, they were just too wide for a Gen 4 Camry. I made the decision to go with springs and struts instead of coilovers, so I gave up the opportunity for extreme fitment.

I'm going to mount some 235/45/17 tires on the wheels and see how they fit with the spacers on the car already, if I'm not happy, 15 front and 25 rear is the plan like you suggested Krispy.

These are actually Work VS Mesh. They should look pretty good, I'm interested to see what color these end up in as well as the 235/45/17 tire combo. We'll see how much you rub. 15mm in the front will definitely be pushing it, esp if you only have springs/struts. You can definitely fit a 25mm spacer in the rear though, if your rears are shaved/rolled.

Brian, the Camry fender wells aren't as deep as the gen 1-1.5 Solara ones.

If everything goes as planned, I'll be puttin in Work as well pretty soon. :evilbat:

I'm going as flush as I can while managing to avoid any rubbing issues.

Since I'm going with a non-stagger setup, the front fenders is the limiting factor for me.

What's the offset on the new wheels bro?

Update:

I got the tires in last week and I dropped the wheels off at my dudes to refinish and mount the tires. He's gonna do one wheel to see if I like it, then the rest if I'm happy. Hopefully it's ready for me to check out tomorrow. I'm excited to see how it will turn out. I'll keep my SG brahs in the loop!

LOL, I knew they wouldn't fit with just a slight pull, especially since I wasn't going to go with any stretch. I was going to cut the fenders and mold on the new fender flares but at the last minute decided not too and go with a safer setup that wasn't too extreme. I tried to find some 17" Equips, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got with these...
