yea, the ugly red lipped rims are now off the car again and i'm running my ugly stock 15' oem rims + a spare lol. Next week hopefully i'll be on a set of 4 steelies. (just to match and keep $ in my pocket) and the lip will be coming off in an attempt on a garage door lip.

Neato. My s/c actually came from a 1MZ avalon. I say scrap the lip and even forgo the home depot stuff. Hell, replace the spare with another matching stocker and go for a true sleeper.

if i can find a cheap matching stock rim ill go for it but imo its not worth paying 100 dollars for an ugly stock rim lol. I probably won't even bother with the lip anyway because winter is coming and i like my suv status here in chicago lol. I really haven't seen that many s/ced avalons. I know of bunthy's old one a green one on cardomain and a white australian one on cardomain lol. comments? insults? criticism? let's hear it guys =P

Ah, the green one, that takes me back. That belonged to Lonis/Andrew, who used to frequent the SC3 forums long ago. He had a nice build considering what was available back then (i.e. nothing).

Cool, another lucky SC owner. Good luck with the install and keeping money in your pocket. I agree that you should leave the depot lip off...they are cheap and they look cheap. I want to see a lot of progress and frequent updates on this thread, so keep us posted!

UPDATE FINALLY. all the parts are finally in and I got this little mod in too =]

^finished!

^close up of the filter.

the total install took me from 1-2 period (slacking around a lot and had a lot of people hovering around the car slowing me down) and also 6-7th period so a total of about 3-4 hours. Not too bad eh? =P I'll take more high quality pics tomorrow

this was the day before.. we got bored and we're working on a totaled sebring for fun, so my friend wanted to have some fun lol.
