Hometown Solaras

Hey, Solara Guys and Ladies! How about a pic of your Solara against your favorite hometown backdrop that might serve as a postcard for your city? You might also add a note of description of your town such as you would find on wikipedia.com. I'll start with this one, but I will work on getting a better picture as time goes by. This was taken with my cell phone yesterday on a very shady street except for tall objects like the antebellum house that rose above the shade.

Huntsville is a city in Madison and Limestone Counties in the U.S. state of Alabama, and the county seat of Madison County.[2] Huntsville is the largest city in northern Alabama in a region of a half-million people, with the city proper having 171,327 residents (2007 estimate).[1] Started with a single cabin in 1805, the city was incorporated six years later as Twickenham. However, it was renamed "Huntsville" (after first settler John Hunt) during the War of 1812, and it has grown across nearby hills and along the Tennessee River, adding textile mills, then munitions factories, to become a major city, hosting the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and Redstone Arsenal. Thats a pretty cool idea.
However, I currently live in Denton TX. I, kind of, just wound up here. I'm originally from Chicago.
Maybe I can post a pic of UNT or maybe I can drive down to Dallas where Kennedy got shot.

That's beautiful, Matt. You are the winner so far, even though the Red Sox were not last World's Series, but they will come back. I really do miss Boston. Your Solara is gorgeous in that pic.

I'd take one...but I'd have to travel all the way back to Asia and find that little village.

+1 on your Fenway pic Mr. Slippery, notice all the chicks are on the Solara side and not the Accord side...

HOMETOWN SOLARAS....REVISED

Postby jimmm » Thu Apr 02, 2009 11:32 am

OK, guys, I see the error of my ways. I didn't mean to exclude anyone from this posting based on you having to be in your HOMETOWN OF ORIGIN, rather, I meant it to be where ever you are CURRENTLY living. It's all about being here and now. In other words, WHERE YOUR SOLARA GOES, THERE YOU ARE ALSO. Keep posting. This is fun! By the way, you may post more than once of many different points of interest. I GUESS I REALLY DIDN'T HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT. NOT IN SG. Jimmm

I know, I was just bein' a smart ass hehe.

Actually I've been trying to remind myself to take a picture on my stomping grounds. I keep forgetting because I'm always driving back from work at night on that road and the only thing I'm thinking about is the bed (for sleeping).

My Solara is now somewhere in SoCal and I'm 7000 miles away in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Roughly, on the opposite side of the globe.
