100mph Solara "Fly-by" Video!

Okay - so I'm out here in Las Vegas this week at the NAB show and I'm speaking at a session that deals with text and video - and I needed to shoot a sample to use in my session.

There is a small road near one of the border towns (Jean) that goes out to a little community airport, and I set up the camera on a tripod down low on the side of the road and drove by it a couple of times. My friend held up a wind screen so it wouldn't get blasted by the car as I flew by at around 100mph, but you can see the result of the video I made for the session today - including the flying text! :)

(It's a small, short QuickTime video so it won't take long to load - plus it loops so you can see it fly by over and over and...) ;)

Very nice.
I love the "TOYOTA" logo blasted away when the car passed it.

Top Speed Run finished at 130 mph. :o

Hehe - it better be professional looking since it's what I do for a living! ;)

And yeah - I shoulda slowed-down the footage right when the car hits the Toyota logo for a second. Maybe I'll have time to play with it a bit more before I'm done here this week.
