Michael T’s Artic Frost Project: 1st Gen 2 Reverse Trunk Lid
Hello all,
Had some time to work on my car and since I’ve been working on my ICE project; this project just came to me. I can’t believe that I actually did this myself, with a good friend of mine’s help. Thanks again Aaron. The funny part is that my buddy Aaron is not even into cars or anything like this.
Just as the title says…1st Gen 2 Reverse Trunk Lid
I’m planning on writing a DIY Tutorial for this later, so bare with me; it may take a lil bit since the holidays are here. There's some minor stuff I have to finish up for better presentation. Other then that, I'm quite happy of the result. I will let you all know the exact material and hardware that are needed for this project. I may also have the parts available specifically for the Gen 2 Solara if anyone is interested, but this is a maybe.
I would say this project would take approximately 3 hours to complete with a buddy’s help.
Something to keep in mind though, this project may not be for everyone. It really all depends on your ride’s setup. I just figured that the reverse trunk lid would compliment the lambo doors.
Also, I can have this work both ways...open normal or reverse trunk lid for shows.
Project recap:
Estimated time = 3 hours
Hardware = $10.00
A buddy for moral support to tell you that you're gonna screw up your car and he doesn't have the slightest idea of why you're doing this; also to help hold the trunk in place while you work = priceless. (Thanks again Aaron)
Enjoy,
Michael
