OK I just drilled 4 holes in my Solara and I don't know if I'm happy about it yet. Lets hear some honest opinions.

hey, i dont even know what to think cuz i never seen that before nor even thought to do that. Its definitely different ! my bf on his altima has LED sidemarkers which have 3 little LED's in the side marker.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/819150.
Thats his site, what you did just reminds me of his a little bit.Since you already drilled the holes you're basically gonna have to put up with it or buy a whole new fender and just leave it.If people do LED's I think you should get the blinkers also, so everything matches, but then again it's calling out ticket.

Interesting....not bad.

The timing was giving me seizures, but other than that it looks good.

I think the final effect looks pretty good, however if there was a solid cover over them to give a bit of continuity (instead of 4 individual lights) it may look a bit better. I give you props for creativity bro, it's good to have new members who are willing to experiment!

I, actually, really like it. It's creative, new, and different. Most of all, it's not that noticable... I like it

I think it's a great way to personalize your car. It must look pretty interesting when you're changing lanes at night.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking the LED's will turn out like my wheels. I didn't really like them when I first put them on, now I love them. And Assyrian, I cant wait for the nightfall to test em out.

IMO sidemarkers look best behind that piece on the fender that horizontal bar thingie
my friend put flush sidemarkers on his ride, and it looked VERY good, unfortunately he had to sell it...but this is how it looks behind that horizontal thingie..(if others are intrested in how it looks)

I like them, original! How did you drill through without destroying the paint?

When I first saw the holes I was like AGgghhhh! Then I saw the finished product and the vid and now I kinda like. Really different. Is it the angle or are they rising up going forward? Or is the molding going down? Anyway, between this and the carputer you made...damn, you shoulda took the Solara from the wife a long time ago! lol!

Arghhhhh! you noticed the incline. The difference between the front and rear one is about 1/16", I dont know what happend I measured twice cut once. I think my drill bit moved a bit. As for taking the Solara from my wife, she wouldn't give it up until it became too hard to get our kids in the back seat, then we got her a minivan (Mazda MPV)
