i love the way your car looks in that last pic. very clean. i used to want the 300z so bad but now there a bit out dated. your friends is nice but looks like it needs a little body work. is it the turbo model?

a long time ago a friend of mine had a base 3000gt and took me for a ride in it, the thing was quick as hell, though i was only 16 or so and the car i had at the time was a toyota tercel. but ever since i either wanted a 3kgt or 300z. never got either however the next car i buy in 4 years or so will most likely be the new z. sorry i kind of went off on a tangent :(

its a tough call because they both weigh about the same roughly 3000-3500lbs.
the gen 2 solaras would out run the base normally aspired 3000gt im sure but the gen 1 might just only be about to keep up. the twin turbo vr-4 3000gt with 330hp however would destroy any solara even the trd sc solaras plus its all wheel drive so in bad weather theres no question.
you cant really compair the 2 in my opinion. youre better off compairing the 3kgt with a supra, skyline, 300z, nsx etc.... and the solara with an accord etc... either way, sorry brad i realize this is way off topic :(

Looks like your buddy ran into something.

I almost bought one of those in my quest to find a new car, it was so clean, but the guy never really got back to any of my calls.

I always wanted to race a 3000GT in my Solara.

As for the Z...i honestly think the twin tail looks ugly the ways it sticks out.
