Nice car...love red. It'll look better on 18's, some find that 17's look to small.

i made the mistake of getting 17s...and then i made the mistake of getting 18s...shoulda gone bigger :x

if you don't have the $$$$ for 18s or 19s, then perhaps think about getting a drop...rolling on bigger wheels with a 5in fender gap IMO looks worse than stock

I agree. Go for 18s or 19s. Trust me... Although I have a Gen2, and my stocks were 17s and I opted to go 18s with 225/40/18s and they were way too small for me. After debating to lower the car to get rid of the wheel well gap or go with 19s or 20s (which the Gen 2s can handle) I decided to go with DUBS and they look so much better now.

By the way, the red looks great and welcome!

18s will not decrease you performance duder.

20 pounds plus or minus really makes no difference when your car weighs 3000+ lbs.

Well its a lot more involve than that. 20 lbs of unsprung weight (which it is considered) could have the same or great effect as 200lbs of regular weight.

Between 17"s and 18"s I wouldn't worry too much. If you were really concerned about performance you should get SSR wheels at like 13 lbs each or something

If you want to make the Solara lighter take out the backseat. LOL jk

The diffeence between 17's & 18's is slight. I doubt you'll even feel the difference.
